Thanks to your donations, we've been able to get a replacement vehicle for our poor, transmission-less van. This is Geoffrey, a '94 Geo Metro Hatchback. It's an automatic transmission and gets around 40 MPG on average. It can make it up our driveway, which twists up to a steep incline, without a running start and now that we've gotten the brakes fixed, it only needs hubcaps for those itty-bitty 12-inch tires and a replacement radio(the one in there shorts out). Also, it's kind of a blue-green color. It only has 113K miles on it, and Metros are known to last forever, so let's hope the same for our new car! It did completely drain our finances, though, so we're stuck at home until we get some more...but once we do, a single tank can take us pretty far! We're hoping to use it to go to conventions in the future!
Nice! Have a beater myself. '94 Ford Escort! They're great cars and will last forever if you keep them in good shape. Mine has over 160,000 miles on it and is still running great! Little repairs go a long way! Also, i'd leave the hub caps off. I keep them off cuz I love to show BEATER PRIDE!
I'm considering getting a beater actually, either a Metro, an Escort, or an early 90s Buick Century, mainly 'cause if it's your first car, who gives a damn, and hey, Metros, as well as Centurys, are known to last forever so
Oh, and grats on the new car
